In May 2008, during the annual Baptist History Tour, the Baptist History Preservation Society unveiled a new marker in memory of Jeremiah Vardeman. Vardeman planted Baptist churches in Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri. This memorial is located at the Salem Baptist Church, in Center, Missouri.
